What to Expect from the 2027 Citadel Games Assessment

For the 2027 Citadel Summer Internship in US, game-based tests may replace or supplement traditional aptitude tests. Each mini-game targets specific traits; play naturally but attentively, and complete any practice rounds offered before the scored section.

How the game-based assessment works

Attention tasks: respond quickly to specific stimuli while ignoring others.

Memory tasks: recall sequences, patterns, or spatial arrangements.

Decision tasks: choose between options under time pressure.

Consistency: many games repeat mechanics to check reliability of responses.

Strategy for Citadel's 2027 Summer Internship

Take every practice round offered. Minimise distractions (phone away, door closed), follow instructions literally, and do not rush the first few items while you calibrate. Consistency across repeated mechanics matters.

One more practical point: many candidates report that the game-based assessment felt easier than expected once they had seen the format in advance. That familiarity effect is real — your first encounter with any timed test is always the hardest. Even two or three realistic practice runs can move you from anxious to comfortable, which directly improves scores.
